Belka and Strelka

Belka (ベルカ, Beruka / Белка) and Strelka (ストレルカ, Sutoreruka / Стрелка) are Kudryavka Noumi's dogs.

Description

Strelka is a large Siberian Husky with white and black fur; Belka is a black, small Schipperke. Their names are associated with "Belka and Strelka" - the second dogs launched into space from Russia after Laika . They are both female dogs.

Kudryavka got Belka and Strelka when she was a child and sometimes they are like sisters to her. Sometimes they are also like a mother to her, since her real mother is away for most of the time; they also serve as her bodyguards. The dogs are allowed to stay at school when Kudryavka moves to Japan; in exchange they assist Kanata Futaki and the disciplinary committee on patrols. During school breaks Kudryavka often plays with her dogs, often playing frisbee.

Trivia

• Like Kud, Belka and Strelka are named after Soviet space dogs.

• In the visual novel, during the Loli-Loli Hunters scene in Yuiko Kurugaya's route - if the player matches up Kyousuke and Kudryavka - the dogs bite Kyousuke in his butt.

• She can use her dogs in the battle sequence mini-game. They are the strongest weapons in the game after Mio's cyber weapons and can defeat any opponent with only one hit.
