Mutsumi Suginami (杉並 睦実 Suginami Mutsumi) is one of Riki Naoe's classmates.

Appearance

Mutsumi has shoulder-length deep blue hair that is pulled back slightly by a large yellow ribbon with square bangs hanging over her forehead, brown-yellow eyes and she is around Riki Naoe's height.

She is normally seen wearing the school uniform.

Biography

Mutsumi is one of Riki Naoe's classmates and has a crush on Riki. At the beginning of Rin Natsume's route, she leaves a love letter in his closet; Riki turns her down, but because of this, Riki and Rin end up having a relationship.

She often hangs out with her friends Takamiya, Yamazaki and Katsusawa, who are also classmates of Riki. However, unlike her friends, she doesn't have a bad personality and does not often bully other people. However, she is tricked into bullying Riki and Yuiko Kurugaya by her friends because she has a crush on Riki and cannot stand seeing the two of them together. Pressured by Takamiya and Katsusawa, she puts all kinds of garbage in Riki's locker. She is stopped by Riki and Yuiko after being threatened.

In the anime, she gives Riki the handbook for the upcoming field trip .

Etymology

• The name Mutsumi means "friendly, harmonious, intimate" (睦) (mutsu) and "fruit, good result, truth" (実) (mi).
• Mutsumi's surname Suginami means "cedar" (杉) (sugi) and "average, ordinary, common, medium, be in a row, rank with" (並) (nami).

Trivia

• In Little Busters! Refrain, Mutsumi confessed her feelings to Riki Naoe in person rather than revealing it in a love letter .
